Simplify Sum of Rational Expressions - Grade 11

In this video, the steps listed below are followed in order to add/subtract rational expressions.
1 - Simplify if possible the terms making the given expression
2 - Factor the denominators if they are of degree 2 or more
3 - Compare the denominators
4 - Define what should be the least common denominator
5 - Rewrite all the terms in the expressions with a common denominator
6 - Add the numerators
7 - Factor the numerator and the denominator if not factored already
8 - Simplify if possible
