This video covers compression joints when used for compression elbows, compression couplings, compression bends, 15mm compression joints and 22mm compression joints. (More help can also be found in our project here: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects/copper_compression_joints.htm) It also covers any other compression joints which can be used with copper plumbing. Compression joints are the joints used by most DIYers. They are easy to use but a little bulky. Making a compression joint work with copper plumbing is not too hard if you can get spanners to the fitting. The big danger with copper compression joints is to over-tighten them and kink the copper pipe. This is what causes most of the leaks oin compression joints when done by home improvers. It is better to leave the nut a little loose, test for leaks and then tighten a little more than it is to overtighten in the first place.
