Day 4 at Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition, and today Air Recognition is focusing on the Royal Malaysian Air Force Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MRCA) procurement. Malaysia military and politics have been talking about the MRCA since seven years, but the country would be now in the final stages of studying aircraft that meet the Royal Malaysian RMAF requirement. Air Recognition had the chance to get some fresh news from the three major contenders: BAE Systems with the Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassaul Aviation with the Rafale, and Saab with the Gripen C.
