HYTOBP LT2 FullHD Video Projector -- DEMO & REVIEW
2K views
Jun 22, 2024
Video projectors that try to also be Android TV devices tend to do neither task very well, which is why HYTOBP made a smart move with the introduction of its LT2 Full HD Video Projector: It's got plenty of input options, but you'll want to bring your own Roku/Firestick/ONN or other source device. On the bright side (literally!) it's a bright 600 ANSI lumens and has auto-focus and auto-keystone correction. Tech expert Dave Taylor offers up all the specs and a highly detailed extended demo of key features and capabilities. A video projection system with a ton of inputs
0:03
Let's check it out. Dave Taylor here and I'm checking out this
0:13
This is the Haito BP LT2 Full HD Video Projector. So it projects 1080p or 1920 by 1080 in native resolution
0:26
What this means is that it has a big, bright, crisp picture and it projects large and looks
0:32
really good. A lot of projectors can take HD but then they're actually broadcasting or projecting 720 or
0:40
even 480 sometimes. So you really want more pixels gives you a better picture
0:46
Now this one you can actually feed it a 4K image and it will scale it down to HD if that's
0:52
what you need. But native it is 1920 by 1080. Now brightness wise it's 600 ANSI lumens which is 480 ISO lumens which is a lot
1:05
Again a lot of those little pocket projectors are about 1 5th or 1 6th the brightness
1:11
What does brightness mean? It means that you can get the picture to be bigger and you can actually use it in rooms
1:18
that aren't quite as dark. Now I got a big extensive demo coming up in just a minute or so so I'm just going to tell
1:24
you a little bit more about this and then we're going to switch to my mostly dark room
1:27
and you'll see how that worked out. So 20,000 to 1 contrast ratio and here's a really important number is the lamp life is
1:37
rated at 25,000 hours. So that's another one that's really important with projectors because you don't want to
1:45
buy it and enjoy it and then three months later have the bulb go out and have them say
1:50
oh those replacement bulbs are hundreds of dollars. So 25,000 hours. That's pretty nice
1:57
And it also has a built in zoom feature so if you're watching something and you really
2:01
want to just get that center part to be larger you can actually use the zoom with the included
2:07
remote control. And this remote is simple, straightforward and works. You will need to bring your own AAA batteries
2:14
It takes two but let me give you a quick tour of the unit and then we'll switch to
2:18
the demo. So on the top you can see if you can't find your remote it gives you all the functionality
2:24
you need to be able to change inputs and to step through your programs and volume up and
2:31
down and all of those different features. The left side is really where it gets fun though because on the left you can see there
2:38
are the two HDMI inputs. There's two USB-A inputs and there's also AV to have that in and there's a headphone
2:49
jack that you can have for audio out. Now it's also worth noting that this is Bluetooth 5.1 so you can also pair it with Bluetooth
2:59
speakers so if you want a better sound instead of just having it be on your own earbuds or
3:04
something that's an option. It also has built-in two 6 watt speakers so in the demo all the audio you hear is from
3:14
its own speakers. Now let's finish this tour real quick. I should also point out on that left side that vent is where the heat comes out
3:22
This generates some heat so you always want to have that vent open and far away from walls
3:28
or any other surfaces so that it can continue to stay cool as it chugs along
3:35
On the back there is a port for the power and then there's one of the speakers
3:40
On the right hand side there is a grill that looks like it might be how you access the
3:45
bulb if you need to replace it. On the front is the actual projector lens and then on the bottom there is really nothing
3:54
of interest down there. Just a bunch of feet to make sure that it stays where you put it
3:59
Now let's switch to the demo. So before we get there let me explain what's going on
4:04
So first off I have a Roku stick that I plugged into one of the HDMI ports and then I plugged
4:11
my MacBook Pro into the other HDMI port using an actual HDMI cable included in the carrying
4:19
bag and then the third input that I experimented with was with my phone
4:25
This is an iPhone 15 Pro running the latest version of iOS
4:29
And so you'll see we have wired and wireless. So let's jump to that demo
4:35
For this demo I actually have it projected onto a wall in my living room and I've turned
4:41
the lights down but it's not pitch dark in here and you can see it's a big bright screen
4:47
and with the remote control I can change what inputs I want and I can go into various settings
4:54
So we can actually go into settings and then we can get to like projector settings and
5:00
things like that which is definitely helpful. But I know you want to see the different inputs
5:06
So let's start with this HDMI 2 is my Roku stick and I just went ahead and put that in
5:17
the HDMI plug and as you can see it is working just fine
5:23
If I go to Netflix I haven't signed in but Netflix does communicate correctly with the
5:29
server on the other end and this is all through Wi-Fi and in a moment or two it should actually
5:37
prompt us to sign in but we're not going to do that
5:44
There's the first sound you can hear but let's go back. So back on the Roku and I thought it would be fun to actually stream some live TV and
5:58
that's just what you can get through the Roku channel. So we're going to go here and let's see
6:06
Well we can try this. Let's see if Ghostbusters is actually playing right now
6:11
Looks like it's available free on the Roku channel. So let's do that. I'm not going to be able to do it for very long because I certainly don't have the rights
6:17
to show you but this is free streaming through the Roku on the projector in my house and
6:27
the audio you're hearing is from the projector
6:37
So that's all very fun. Let's go back and now let's switch to a different input and I'm going to do this one just for
6:45
a second or two but this input is actually my computer. So you can see here that I can set this up either mirroring my Mac or PC or I can use
7:01
this as a separate screen and this is an HDMI cable from my computer
7:07
There are ways to work wirelessly but that's not what I'm demonstrating here
7:13
To demonstrate that let's go back to the home screen and now I'm going to just pick up my
7:20
iPhone 15 Pro and I'm going to go into the AirPlay settings and one of the options in
7:29
AirPlay is something called LED projector. So I'll choose that and the projector will automatically see that it's getting that request connection
7:40
And here we are and now I'm back on my home screen and so there are some fun things you
7:46
can do. So for example I can play Cribbage. So maybe I want to play just single player and I just want to explain to someone how
7:58
to play the game. So you can see this is very fun
8:02
It's a nice crisp beautiful projection but there's obviously a lot more you can do here
8:09
So let's see I can go into Facebook and we can play a reel
8:18
Who's reel? Let's do Kyle's reel. And so there we go. We can sort of watch the reel and we can actually play videos
8:29
So here we go and Kyle tends to do very entertaining things but that was enough of that
8:37
And so what you're seeing is that on my phone when I have it in sort of up and down or portrait
8:45
mode then it gives you that portrait mode in the projector. But if I go to an app again like that Cribbage game then it will actually the Cribbage game
8:59
is oriented horizontally or in landscape mode and that obviously works a lot better
9:04
Now I will say I had very mixed results trying to use this with something like YouTube
9:11
So if I was going to watch a lot of YouTube content or other streaming content I would
9:17
do a connection with a wire rather than the wireless connection. But this is just beautiful for showing people how to do things and giving tutorials
9:28
And if you have your own app this might be something where you give demos of your app
9:32
because obviously that's going to work just great. So now with all of that out of the way let's go back to the home screen and you've seen
9:45
like 99% of the demo here. There's also the ability to plug in USB or to do an audio visual out or AV out and you
9:55
can use a Bluetooth speaker with the device. It'll connect to the Bluetooth directly
10:01
But mostly it's just pretty darn impressive. I think they've done a really nice job
10:06
Now let me jump back on camera. I'll be honest I actually find the experience of wireless airplay or any of those sort of
10:14
things to be a very mixed bag. There's just issues that come up
10:18
So for example with YouTube if you try to do YouTube through airplay then what happens
10:25
is it actually launches YouTube on the receiving unit and then hands off that information which
10:31
means it doesn't work very well. So on your big smart TV that might work because your smart TV has a lot of smarts
10:40
This is a projector. This is not an Android TV. This is not a Samsung pretending to be a screen when it's actually a projector
10:48
This is really just a video projector with a lot of different input and features as you saw
10:56
So the demo with my phone was probably the most frustrating of the three but the other
10:59
two were absolutely seamless and you saw especially this is great to use with one of these little
11:05
video sticks and Amazon has the Fire Stick. Walmart has their O&N Stick and then of course there's the Roku and these just make it a
11:15
breeze and they're really inexpensive. So this is really honestly a must have bundle item to get with this
11:23
And then Roku's figured out all of these things. Oh, looks like I just turned on the projector
11:29
Let's turn it back off. Let's see. I think I have to push and hold or it might need to warm up before it can do that but
11:35
let's just do that. It makes it a little drama here. But like Roku has figured out how to work with Netflix so there's not any issues with
11:46
that which is great. Now one of the things that's happening off on the side that you can't quite see is this
11:53
has auto focus and auto keystone correct. So even though I'm at an angle the projector's actually reorienting its image to try to be
12:03
square on the wall which is a pretty interesting feature. Now let's see if I can turn it off
12:10
There we go. So now it's off again. It really has a ton of really cool features
12:15
It's Wi-Fi 6 enabled, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networks. A lot of smart home devices can't work with 5 GHz
12:25
This one does not have that limitation which is great. If you have a high speed home network then this is a really good option
12:32
And I will note that things like this are really fun for like a hotel room or something
12:36
or camping. Now it does need 110 volt AC but it does come with a carrying bag and in the carrying bag
12:45
I have some of the other stuff that's included. So it also has a user manual in the usual half dozen languages
12:52
It does come with one relatively short HDMI cable and of course there is a cover for the
12:58
front projector lens. That's pretty much everything. There's a lot to like here
13:04
This is at a very reasonable price and especially for its brightness
13:09
600 ANSI Lumens is a nice bright projector and you can hook this up to your computer
13:16
You can use it for presentations. There's a lot of things you can do here
13:21
So I think I've given you the full rundown of all of its features and capabilities
13:27
And I will say that they say that you can do a 60 inch to 300 inch virtual screen
13:33
When I tried to project it really really close the autofocus was unable to work
13:38
So if you're thinking you can project this onto just a tiny little screen it's going
13:42
to be too small. So anticipate this is intended to be a big projector for big presentations or big movies
13:50
like Ghostbusters. I really am tempted to go back and watch the rest of that
13:55
Not my favorite of the Ghostbusters franchise but still great fun and it looked crystal
14:00
clear in this. So really everything if you're looking for a video projector and you have the ability
14:06
to have something like a TV stick or some other input be the primary source then this
14:12
is a solid option. It's really nicely made. It is a little hot but you know just make sure that this side is open and has air circulation
14:23
and the built in speakers built in Wi-Fi 6. There's a lot going here so it's definitely one to check out
14:30
Now I'm going to ask you to subscribe to my channel. A click or a tap on that subscribe button and we're connected
14:36
Don't forget to hit that bell icon for notifications. And if this was a value, and I certainly hope it was, then please go ahead and give
14:42
me a thumbs up. Much appreciated. Sweet. This, let me show this way, this is the Hito BP LT2 Full HD Video Projector and it comes
14:55
in black or white and it is $269.99 currently on sale for $188.99 at Amazon.com
15:06
It is definitely one to check out, like I said, especially if you're just looking for
15:10
something a little simpler where it's just really a projector. And it does have some other cool features like a screensaver and there's some like meditation
15:19
and you have built in classic art that you can use to project onto a screen
15:24
There's lots of fun stuff. It can also be mounted upside down. It can actually be used behind a screen if you had a setup like that
15:33
There's a lot of different things you can get to in settings, but I've turned it back
15:37
on, which means I have to go to Ghostbusters, which means I'll catch you in my next video
