What does the UK heatwave mean for Londoners?
It may have taken a while, but things are finally heating up in London. The first heatwave of the year is expected to hit this week. London is set to be hotter than the Algarve this week. Temperatures are predicted to reach 28°C and 29°C, possibly even hitting 30°C in some areas, with BBC Weather predicting the capital will be warmer than Faro in southern Portugal and even Barcelona. Yellow heat health alerts have been also active since 8am on Monday, June 24th, in eight regions of England.
