These are domesticated camels owned by farmers. The camels venture across a road to a water hole close to the beach and then walk back across the road to their farm. There were dozens of them, including lots of babies! DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH: https://teespring.com/stores/davids-been-here My guide Khalid from Salalah Fast Tour and I drove down a dirt road to the home of one of the camel farmers. Once we arrived, we laid back and relaxed a bit and chatted with the farmers before going to see some of the babies in a pen. We had to be careful around the babies, as the mothers can be agggressive. They have to tie her legs so she can’t kick them while they’re milking her. The milk comes out hot and frothy! They’re beautiful animals! They have two female camels that he milks, and the entire milking process takes about 15 minutes. The milk was frothy and very unique. I usually stay away from milk, but this was amazing! It was fresh and unpasteurized, and tasty. It was thinner than whole cow milk. It was a nice change! Then, we enjoyed some tea over some nice conversation. As the sun started to set, we saw more of the camels. They were so cool! Then, we drove to Salalah to get some food.
