Trump's trade war: China levies could be halved to 80% | LBC
Donald Trump and Sir Keir Starmer declared Thursday a “historic” day as they formally announced a UK-US trade deal. Donald Trump said it was a “great honour” to have the UK be the first trade deal signed with the United States, hailing a “full and comprehensive” deal. The President has also proposed cutting tariffs on goods from China, signalling interest in de-escalating the trade war between the two economic giants. "80% Tariff on China seems right," Trump wrote on social media on Friday, ahead of talks in Switzerland. LBC's US correspondent Simon Marks joins Matt Frei to discuss the latest in the trade war, as well as the US' role in de-escalating the India-Pakistan conflict, and Trump's relationship with the Supreme Court.
