Hey guys, welcome. In this video, I'm going to show you how to create discount code on your Shopify store

So let's get into it. First of all, what you guys need to do is you're going to go to your Shopify store

I have opened up my store right here and you will actually go to the admin

On our Shopify store, we have to create different discounts for our customers

so that they can buy different things and they keep getting back to us

Discount is actually a very good way to promote your store. Today, I'll show you how to create a discount store on Shopify

It's actually really easy to do and I'll show you everything step by step

So without any further ado, let's get into it. First of all, once you get to the admin, you will find your panel right here

and we have discounts right here under marketing. Select discounts and now you will find the create discount button right here

and then you will find one at the top here. So we have to select a discount type

There are four types of discounts we can create on Shopify. We have amount of products, for instance, 50% of a product, 20% of a product

Then we have amount of order. For instance, you add something like if you have an order of $100

then you will be getting 10% off. If you have an order of $50, you will be getting 5% off

So something like that. And then we have buy X and get Y, which is like buy one and get one offer

And then we have a free shipping. So if you want to create a discount with free shipping, you can also do that

Let's actually get create a discount for amount of product. So far, it will take you right here

First of all, you have to select the method. Now there are two methods we can go for

We have a discount code and then we have an automatic discount

So if you want to go for a discount code, you're going to click on generate and now you have your own discount code

Now this is the code that people will have to add in order to avail the discount that you're creating

So this is our code now. And this is the code that I will share on my social media and with my customers

Moving on, we have to select the value. So you can go with a percentage or you can go with a fixed amount

So I would suggest going with a percentage for the order for the amount of product

Because if you go with a fixed amount, sometimes it's not going to be very fair to the product and to the customer
