In this video, I'm going to show you how to connect your Windows laptop to a smart TV wirelessly
0:07
I'm going to show you two methods and it's possible that one method might not work for you while it might work for someone else
0:14
So one requirement for each of the methods is that your laptop and TV are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network
0:21
So you can just check that out by going to settings on your laptop and then going to settings on your TV
0:27
and just ensure that they're both connected to the same Wi-Fi network
0:31
So I'm going to show you the first method which has always worked for me and that's by using Microsoft Edge
0:38
So on my laptop, I'll just search for Edge and open it
0:44
After that, I'll click on the three dots which are on the top right
0:50
Then I'll click on more tools and select cast media to device
0:57
Here in this pop-up, two TVs have come. But before we select our TV, just click on sources and change this to cast screen
1:08
So now everything on our screen will be casted. Now I can see my TV over here. It's this one
1:15
So I click on it. As you can see, my laptop and TV are connected wirelessly
1:22
So no matter what I do, irrespective of the app which I open, my laptop and TV are both connected
1:29
So this was the first method and now I'll show you the second one
1:34
So in the second method, you have to use the shortcut of Windows K
1:39
So I'll click on that. And now it will search for available devices over here
1:47
So this method doesn't work for me with this TV. So I won't be able to show you this right now
1:54
But if your system can detect the TV, then all you have to do is click on the TV over here and then it's connected
2:01
Your laptop and TV will both be connected after that. So this is basically how it works
2:06
And if you want to know how to connect your smartphone to your smart TV, you can check out this video over here
2:13
That's it for today. Goodbye
