Let's learn how to create a ringtone using our own voice

What you're going to want to do is to download the app GarageBand

If it's not on your phone, you can download it for free in the App Store

Go ahead and open GarageBand. And once you open GarageBand, you'll want to choose the microphone on the top right-hand side

This will let you record audio, and you'll notice that right now as I'm talking

the levels are moving up and down, which means the microphone is picking up my voice

Once you're ready to record, you can push this record button. Now I'm going to wake up an alarm

Now I'm going to create a ringtone for myself. Pick up the phone

And there it is. So that is my ringtone. Not the best ringtone, but hopefully it makes sense for this demonstration

So once you're finished, you just tap on the triangle on the left-hand side and choose

My Songs. Now as we're in our recent files, all you're going to do is press down on the file

and you're going to choose Share. From here, you have three options

I'm going to choose the option that says Ringtone. You can give your ringtone a name, and you can select Export

Now what I recorded is inside my ringtones. Now from here, there's the option to choose Use Sound As, and you can select the option

to use Sound As, and you can select if you want this to be your standard ringtone, standard

text tone, or you can assign it to a contact. And if you ever need to change your ringtone, just go to Sounds and Haptics in your settings
