Hello and welcome to the JackSucksAtGeography Christmas special

Obviously today we will be playing a Christmas GeoGuessr map, but not yet. Kai, cancel the Christmas music

Because I've seen that GeoGuessr have recently added a new feature where it displays how long it took you to get a perfect score

Now, I'm on the GeoGuessr dumb test, and apparently the fastest I've ever got a top score is 13 minutes

which is not right, because I made a whole video here claiming how I did it in 23 seconds

And you can see that second place is 21 seconds, and apparently this guy did it in 5, which I'm assuming is some kind of hack

So to start off this video, I want to see how close we can get to the 21 second mark

Okay, let's go for it. We are loading in and we are, is that Times Square, I think

Okay, no problem. Where's New York? My, I'm, how am I going to get a top score with this kind of loading speed

I mean, that'll be 21 seconds. Ugh. It's a perfect score. We are not loading very well

All right, Becky was uploading a video, so I have asked her to postpone that because we've got GeoGuessers speedrunning to do

Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge. Go on, go on, go on. And, ah, guess

5,000 points. Play in the next round. Uh, Russia. We are in Moscow, St. Basil's Cathedral

Where's that? There it is. Guess. This isn't going to beat 21 seconds anywhere near

but it's going to improve our 13-minute score by quite considerably. Right. Come on, come on, come on

Go on. Guess. Next round. Round 4-5. This is Rome. Coliseum. Got it

Play the next round. And then, oh, this is Dubai. Where am I going? Yeah, I found it, found it, found it, found it

Been a while since I've done this. I got quite good at it, but I've been pretty rubbish recently

I think I'm there. Oh That wouldn't count that would not count this up there. I need 25,000 points. Okay, let's play again

No problem on Eiffel Tower. Where are you Eiffel Tower? I feel yes play next round thingy in Washington

I can't remember if I click there or there is it there that was really close

quite remember where that one is there it is it's just there that should be five thousand points good

I found it nice and final round Amsterdam. I always struggle with this one a little bit as well

I think I need to go near the van goff museum is how I learned to remember it. That's the van goff museum. There it is. Guess

I just want to play a Christmas map We in the thick of it now I know what I doing So this is the lowest point in america got it Yeah next one is whether is this new I don know where this is It obviously somewhere in Germany but I never done this one before All right we just have to hope

that that one doesn't come up. Let's go again. Here we go. Seattle Space Needle. I do know where that is

We could do this one nice and easy. Need to get reasonably close though. Oh, guess

There we go. Perfect and now we've got Arctic triumph. Uh, guess

Cool and final round. Just don't screw this one up. Oh, times square. Don't get me again times square

There it is. And guess. View summary. Perfect score. So here we go

Brilliant. I've done it way faster than 13 minutes. I've just done it in about 40 seconds

Perhaps it's just slowed update. We will check at the end of the video. Get the Christmas music back on Kai

So I haven't really researched this map. I just searched Christmas and this came up

Average score is 10,000. So I'd just like to beat the average score. Here we go. Oh, it's a right little wintery wonderland

I do like lights like these kind of looks. Oh, it's totally different now outside

We've got some flags over there. Russia is where I was gonna say that architecture over there reminds me of moscow and st

Basil's cathedral four seasons hotel Obviously, I could be completely off on that and I don't recognize the flags unfortunately because i've still not learned them

Oh, we don't actually have that many places to go the limousine over there. It's fancy

Oh, based on the language, I might have to guess Moscow just because I don't really know

And there's only three locations we can go to. Unfortunately for us, Moscow is very far away from anything else

So this will definitely be a low score if we don't get it exactly right

I guess we'll go here near the theatre. I'm not trying to like get a top score or anything

So we'll see. I was right. It was Moscow. So we were 400 yards away

That was actually pretty solid. So in Dumtess, this is St. Basil's Cathedral here

And just up the road was where we were. I'm quite pleased with that. I reckon the dumb test probably helped us out quite a lot as well. Next one. Oh, we're just in a Christmas shop. That's adorable. Oh god

I love taking conch to garden centers that have santa's knocking about because he always stares at them in such a funny way

It's incredible. Okay, so we're literally just in a nice christmassy shop and they've really gone for it as well

I'm going to assume the 12 days of christmas. I reckon we're in england, you know

Oh, hang on hang on that says dollars. So I reckon in that case we're in america

That would make more sense. Americans tend to like really go for this kind of thing

Let's see if we can get out of the shop. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ah, I'm free

So we can get a look at the shops in Nick's we can't actually get to the road and find any signs

So this one is a bit tricky. I wonder if we can get out the other side of the shop, maybe

Yeah, let's go through here. I mean potentially could be Canada as well as the trouble unintended children will be given an

Espresso and a free puppy. They are characters here aren't they? Oh

Oh, there's Vegas. Once again, we don't want to get sucked into that

and just go with Vegas purely based on that Vegas of course is a big attraction in a lot of parts of america even if you not in vegas itself i feel like i might go close to vegas because of that you know

let's keep going deeper into the shops in as we can't go the other way oh my god they've got a

load of minion baubles who needs that many minion baubles that is too many minions i think i'm gonna

have to go with vegas just because none of the other little banners have place names on them if

If this wasn't Vegas, potentially there could be one that said New York on it or somewhere else of interest

Yeah, I think I'll go with Vegas. Let's return to start, get back out the front door and just have a right yse of the signs again, I think

Christmas and collectibles, St. Nick's. That's all it says. Damn it. The Denver East thing

I think that maybe does say Denver, you know. I don't know where Denver is. Is Denver near Las Vegas

Sad that I wouldn't have found denver to be honest. So i'm not too stressed about it

I'm gonna say American though. You do not see many Christmas shops that are this elaborate in the UK

Right. Well, we have no clues really wait, wait, wait It says eight dollars there eight dollars ninety nine. So we'll go America. We're in America could not tell you

We're gonna go Seattle. I'm not expecting this one to be correct, but hey, you never know

Maybe we'll go a little bit outside of Seattle as well. I'm gonna go in Redmond guess

I can't quite remember exactly where it was. This could actually be the red square when i'm thinking about it

back in the shop i feel like this could be holland or somewhere maybe go on give me a website give me

a website see this reminds me a lot of stratford-upon-avon where shakespeare was born there

was a lot of structures that look just like that but i don't think we're in england hang on shakespeare

center craft yard the teddy shop we are in england i'm gonna go stratford-upon-avon shakespeare i

She was born and died. I went there on a bus trip with my mom when I was very young. We also went to Bath and the Longleat Safari Park

It was a lot of fun Where is it though There it is Strafford I reckon we could probably find the Shakespeare center shakespeare birthplace is there so i been there i went there i feel like i might have been in this shop on that very bus trip i want to find the street name because i

just struggling to find the shakespeare center and i just feel like it would really stick out

you can see it's there and i just unfortunately i can't travel so i can't see the street place

and then this giant bloody lorry is in the way of the other side i can't believe find it so with

That being said, I'm just going to plonk myself like there, I reckon

This definitely isn't quite right at all, but we'll be somewhere pretty nearby. So I guess..

Oh, I should have gone right outside Shakespeare's birthplace, which I found straight away

Ah, there you go. You zoom in that far and it shows the Nutcracker. So we were 100 yards away, which I'm disappointed about

But 4999, when it could be anywhere in the world, I should be quite pleased with that

I'm quite proud of my Stratford-Upon-Aven score there, actually. Okay, we're round 4-5

Santa is here, which is excellent news. I don't think that's it though. Oh lots of different languages, but starting off with English

I reckon we should go see Santa. Oh my god. This is mad. What's Santa doing here

What am I meant to be on? Am I meant to be like in the sky? Am I meant to be on a boat? It's really strange

I'm excited to see Santa Claus anyway. This didn't feel very Christmassy I feel like this might just be a non-Christmas related museum, but it happens to be at Christmas

Oh, and we've reached a dead end Arctic Circle. Are we in the Arctic Circle or is this a recreation of the Arctic Circle

Could she be from the Arctic Circle? Aurora Restaurant, which is open every day from 11 till 5

Well, that's not bad at all. Look at it out there. I think we're at the North Pole. Oh my God. Oh, this is absolutely incredible

Santa Claus's office. We can't be at the actual North Pole. Where would I even click

Would it be in Greenland? I don't know. Can we get anywhere else? No, we can't

We're literally just going back in again. Maybe it's stupid to go Greenland. I think I would go Greenland and I'd go in Nook, which is the capital

Because I think generally that's where stuff is. Greenland National Museum and Archives

This doesn't feel like this kind of area, does it? This is just shops and stuff, whereas this seems like somewhere really special and beautiful

I don't know where to go. I'm gonna go Iceland. Why not? You know what? I'm gonna go with it

I have a feeling I'm going to be completely wrong and it will be somewhere over here

Guess. Math. Yeah, that is actually really, really far away. A thousand miles

But that's not too bad. Look, if we zoom out far enough, it's a pretty good guess. Well done, Jack

So we were actually in Finland, which does make sense. That was very nice. I like that area a lot

Final round. Here we go. Well, it looks like the final round of Christmas GeoGuessr is once again not going to load

So glad I paid 20 pound a month for this GeoGuessr subscription But you know what looking at this it's a very 2020 Christmas, isn't it
