I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children
0:10
Babies and toddlers were found with their heads decapitated. What separates Israel, the United States, and other democracies is our respect for international law
0:22
There's no occupation in Gaza. Oh yes there is, absolutely, absolutely there is
0:28
Finish them. Finish them. I don't think there's any way Israel can be expected to coexist
0:33
The reason I started this channel was to show you the reality of the country is that world media perceive as dangerous
0:40
And as you guys know, I went there and I found some of the most hospitable people
0:44
some of the best history and culture in the world, as well as some of the best food
0:48
The world media, however, as we see playing out right now in front of our eyes
0:53
control most of what we see, even down to Instagram, shadow banning
0:57
showing us the reality of what people are currently living through. A little context, I live in Lebanon and I am actually a trained journalist
1:03
I have a master's in journalism, international journalism, and I know exactly, I've seen face to face, exactly how they want us to talk
1:11
how they want us to act, and how they want us to perceive things. In this video, I want to take you in depth to show you how you can properly use sources
1:18
to navigate through bias and to see what sources you can actually trust
1:22
and know the truth about what is actually going on here in the world. In recent days, we have seen media outlets and their portrayal of the violence in Palestine
1:32
only to be met with their first-hand bias, their false stereotypes and negative perceptions
1:38
and also their fake reports. For example, the reports of CNN broadcasts throwing themselves on the floor
1:46
saying that there is an imminent airstrike, only to see people walking past them and people biking behind them as though nothing is going on
1:53
I want to start immediately by breaking down some headlines. Let's start with the hospital bombing in Gaza
1:58
As we can see, a headline written in the New York Times
2:01
And we can see how the events played out. The language of the reports changed from Israeli strike kills hundreds in hospital to at least
2:09
500 dead in a strike on Gaza hospital to at least 500 dead in blast in Gaza hospital You can clearly see not just from this article but from many others most media outlets their top priority is speed and profit
2:24
So how can we navigate this world, this world of online media and broadcast journalism
2:29
to find the truth? Ground News. Ground News offers a timeline of the most recent events
2:33
and they show how coverage from different media outlets are portraying certain events across the world
2:38
A brand new headline breaking, just as I'm speaking to you, is... Israeli forces battle Hamas around Gaza City as militias say 800,000 have fled south
2:46
Total news sources 111. On the left, you have Al Jazeera tagged with high factuality, leaning left, that says
2:53
Palestinians fear Israel will strike Gaza's Al-Quds hospital. Israel bombed the surrounding area of the overcrowded Al-Quds hospital in Gaza
3:01
Exactly the same story, but very different framing compared to the right, where as you can see it says Israeli military says at least 240 hostages held in Gaza
3:09
Here on the comparison tool, you can see exactly what the left, the centre and the right are saying in a very concise manner
3:15
As you can see, the left focuses on Israeli ground forces intensifying operations in Gaza
3:20
The centre highlights a criticism faced by Fiji's prime minister and the right emphasises the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza
3:28
One thing I really love about Ground News is just under the ownership feature, you have a world map where you can see exactly where the sources are coming from all across the world
3:36
If I also wanted to yze the different headlines and cross-tech factually, political affiliation and ownership bias, then I can also easily do that too
3:44
Ground News is my go-to place for sources and knowledge and it's also a key player and key tool in my research
3:50
And I'm so thankful they're partnering with me in this video. If you guys want to check them out, I highly, highly recommend that you do
3:55
They're an independent app and website and this is so important. And they combine local and international news all under one platform, which makes it easy for you to digest

Language is one of the main things I really want to speak about in this video, even as a large media outlet describing what is going on right now as a war
4:18
The definition of a war is two or more armed countries, large groups of armed individuals or opposition forces coming together in conflict
4:27
This is not a war. The IDF is one of the world strongest militaries and they actually already dropped 6 bombs on Gaza and have been attacking them for over 75 years and what do the palestinians have they have stones does this sound like two
4:43
equal players fighting in a war no it is a heavy one-sided military force with the aid of huge
4:49
powerhouses like the usa and the united kingdom yes my birth country against palestinians who
4:56
cannot even leave the area they are bombing
5:26
I don't think there's any way Israel can be expected to coexist or find some diplomatic off-ramp with these savages
5:33
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. A full-scale Israeli ground offensive would likely lead to large-scale casualties
5:39
They are terrorists. Civilians as human shield. Accept the right of Israel to exist
5:45
Whoever strikes Israel will strike Israel. Does that mean starve the Palestinian people
5:51
They have to be eradicated. My view is one side is guilty and it's not Israel
5:56
The war is not just with Hamas. The war is with all the civilians
6:00
We're in a religious war here. Finish them. Finish them. Those small clips that you just watched give you a small insight into how large media outlets
6:08
aim to allow Israel to commit genocide. For the last 23 days and longer, media outlets have demonized Palestinians to the point that
6:17
at best, their lives are collateral damage. and at worst they're not worth living on this planet and as you see with huge broadcast companies
6:27
and media outlets across the world the majority of their reporters are reporting from where
6:31
they're reporting from tel aviv this is a huge vantage point why is it a huge vantage point what
6:39
did israel just do in gaza they blocked all communication they blocked all internet they
6:43
They blocked all food, water, fuel and medicine. How can Palestinians report the truth of what is going on without this power without this communication This is why single media outlets are allowing Israel to commit this genocide
7:00
Because they are given the platforms to speak. That's simply it. They are given the platforms for them to speak
7:06
Whereas Palestinians are those stuck under rubble from Israeli bombings that Israel are determined the world not to see
7:13
So you ask, what is the consequence of this? It means that everyone is being subjected to the media reports by those in Tel Aviv
7:19
A one-sided biased report of what is going on. And these media outlets mostly owned by people who have joint ties, I guess you can say, with Israel
7:31
And what's this all down to? Self-profit. An example of this, we all saw reports all across the world of Hamas beheading babies
7:39
This was a claim by Israeli propaganda, a claim which even Israel itself refused to investigate
7:47
Even Joe Biden, the president of the United States of America, endorsed this false claim on national television
7:53
And it was later deemed as untrue and journalists were left with nothing to do but apologize
7:59
So what does this all come down to? One idea from me? This all comes down to decades and decades and decades of Muslims and Arabs being deemed as terrorists, as violent individuals, as violent and dangerous people, as extremists, as human animals
8:16
And one thing that the media are doing nowadays, which is so ethically wrong, is they're taking everything that the Israeli officials are saying as true. It's undisputed. And they are broadcasting this to the world
8:27
There is two sides. One side, the Israeli side, who wish and dream for peace, for optimism, for life, for dignity
8:35
And there is one side that cherish death, that cherish destruction, that brings destruction
8:44
Fundamentalism extremists. You need to choose a side. As this member of the IDF explains, yes, there is one side that does cherish death
8:53
And there is one side that does form peace. our idea of who that could be
8:58
and our idea of who wants peace and those that cherish death are in fact opposite
9:03
I hope this video taught you something important and I hope it taught you to keep searching
9:07
through truth not through false sensationalism
