100 Facts You Didn't Know About the MCU

We all love the MCU, we've all seen the movies, and yet there's still plenty of times when we're all like

oh hey, let's insert your favorite Marvel character here. Today we're counting down the top 10 characters you didn't know were in the MCU, as voted on by you, the viewer

Number 10. The Celestials. The Celestials are massive, three-story-tall, intergalactic demigods, straight from the mind of Jack Herbie

Well, if you're a fan of the King of Comics, you definitely notice them in both Guardians of the Galaxy

Nowhere is made out of a massive, dead Celestial's head. And this, blink-and-you'll-miss-a-cameo in Guardians, is where we see a Celestial actually in action

Number 9, Cold Blood 7 Eric Saban, aka Cold Blood 7, is one of the many 90s characters that was just too extreme for his own good

Looking at you, Adam Extreme, looking at you. So, where did this mercenary for hire show up in the MCU

Iron Man 3 He was an evil AIM agent who was exploded by extremist technology while attacking the president Don remember any of this Don worry Most people don remember any of Iron Man 3 either

Number 8, The Human Torch. The Human Torch is one of the OG most important comic book characters

Created by Carl Burgos, the character was an anti-hero, a robot who was made by a scientist

And then Stan Lee and Jack Kirby basically, well, paid homage to the original character by naming the one from the Fantastic Four

after him. Where is he in the MCU? In Captain America the First Avenger, he's on display

Steve walks right by the synthetic man. Yeah, pretty cool that Carl Burgos' original character

got a shout out in the movie. Number seven, the leader is the Hulk's arch enemy. He's the direct

opposite of our favorite big green meanie. He's cerebral, he's evil, he's usually sporting a really

cool goatee. He also was a supporting character in Marvel's Incredible Hulk film. He was played

by Tim Blake Nelson. Unfortunately, we never got to fully see Sam Stearns, aka the leader

in all his proper glory. You see, the last time we saw him on film, he had just started the process

of transforming into our favorite big-headed evildoer, and that's all we may ever see of him

Maybe someday we get another Hulk movie with the leader as the villain but until then it just have to remain an oh wouldn that have been so cool to see more of moment Number six the worms from Slither What you haven seen James Gunn creature feature Slither

It's a good time. You should. But more importantly, it exists within the MCU

How do we know this? Because the small flesh-eating worm creature from the movies are literally in Guardians of the Galaxy

They're in the collector's storeroom. Check it out. Number five, Manifold. You know who's a character that literally no one talks about enough

Manifold, the secret warrior's character who can teleport large groups of people

He's awesome, and he's featured pretty prominently in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, The Inside Man

Is he referred to by his codename? No. He's called SW42009. He's captured by an anti-inhuman force and then later freed by S.H.I.E.L.D. in the episode

Why is he called SW42009? Because his character first appeared in Secret Warriors number 4 from 2009

Number 4, Cosmo. Cosmo is the former Russian cosmonaut dog who works as the head of security on Nowhere

the space station built out of the head of a celestial on the edge of the galaxy. Don't remember him in the movies

Well, he's definitely there. He growls at Rocket during this scene in the collector storeroom remember No Fine Just fine Number 3 The Watcher Uatu the Watcher is ostensibly the narrator of the Marvel Universe He well he watches all the happenings of the heroes

Yeah, he's basically just a really big-headed guy who watches stuff. Thus, The Watcher

And in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, he makes a rapid cameo of listening to Stan Lee Pradilon

Hey, oh gee, I've got so many more stories to tell. Oh, guys, oh gee

Number two, Elon Musk. Elon Musk gets called the real life Tony Stark a lot

People have called you the real Tony Stark. Okay, you've got your finger in so many different advanced technologies

Well, in tribute to the man, the myth, the billionaire king, the once and future ruler of us all

Marvel gave Elon Musk a cameo in Iron Man 2. Yeah, that's the real life Tony Stark

and the actual Tony Stark talking to each other. Number one, Howard the Duck

So who's the person at the top of the you totally didn't notice this person

in a walk-on role in the MCU? Howard the Duck, baby. Howard the Duck

But no, he's not just in Guardians of the Galaxy. He's also in Avengers Endgame

sporting a cool-as-hell Rob Liefeld sequel toaster gun, baby. All hail the king, Howard the Duck
