This is the MH-53E Sea Dragon, the largest helicopter in the U.S. Navy and the Western world. This marvel of engineering is equipped with a Precision Navigation System, secure communications, and Identification Friend or Foe. It's designed for two primary missions: Airborne Mine Countermeasures and Navy heavy lift/Vertical Onboard Delivery. With a fuselage length of 73 feet, 4 inches, and a max gross weight of 69,750 pounds, it can rapidly transport troops and equipment from ship to shore. Depending on the mission, it can carry a crew of 2 pilots and 1-6 aircrew. Currently, there are 28 MH-53E aircraft in operation.
