This is the Eufy Security Video Doorbell S220 and in this video I want to do a quick setup and give my first impressions of this
0:06
Now this is going to have 2k resolution and it's going to have a crazy 180 day battery life
0:10
And of course this is going to be waterproof so it's going to be perfect for outdoors. And for checking all that out, here's what comes in the box
0:17
We're going to have this blue packet with a bunch of different stuff including the quick start guide
0:21
And right underneath that we're going to have everything else including the doorbell chime and the video doorbell itself
0:26
And all the way at the bottom there's going to be this blue box which includes an ethernet cable
0:30
a power cable, a micro usb cable, some hardware, wiring kit, a metal pin, and some mounting brackets
0:36
So the first thing to do is to connect the door chime or this home base to the internet
0:39
And at the bottom here we're going to have some speakers, there's going to be a few ports for power
0:43
USB-A, ethernet, and a button. And now I have my router right over here, so this is where I'm going
0:48
to go ahead and connect it. Alright here's the port for the power and then the other port for ethernet
0:52
All right, so it turned from red to blue and now it's ready to connect on the phone
0:58
Now it's time to install the mounting bracket and to make it easier, it does come with this
1:02
sticker just to go ahead and align the holes. And after some holes were drilled, the bracket can be
1:07
placed and screwed into place. And now keep in mind, you also can use the angle if you want an
1:12
extra 15 degrees to point towards a direction. But in this case, I didn't use that. And then the video
1:17
doorbell can be mounted right inside. And now if you want to take it off, it also does come with
1:21
this tool that you have to poke at the bottom and then the camera comes right out. All right so now
1:26
the rest of the setup will be done on the phone so I went ahead and downloaded the Eufy app
1:29
and here let me just create an account for this. All right I'll allow, I'll allow, I'll turn on
1:35
All right and now it's time to add a device. So right here add device and this is going to be
1:40
home base. Next. All right connect here. Yep I have all that done. Yep it's connected to the same
1:46
Wi-Fi and it says wait a minute until the LED turns from red to blue and that already happened
1:51
beforehand so I can click next access the camera allow scan the QR code at the bottom of the home base all right so let me go ahead and do that right now Home base receives a pairing request Press the sync button on the back to accept it
2:05
So the home base just told me a message to go ahead and click the sync button on the back
2:09
So let me do that real quick. And it went ahead and beeped
2:16
And here we can see it's binding home base to. And give your home base a name. Basement. Continue. Next
2:22
Then let me update. And let me wait until this finished loading. Alright perfect so that took a few minutes but now I can click next and finish
2:32
Now let me add the other device and this is going to be the video doorbell. Video doorbell battery powered. Next
2:37
And I have to scan this. Okay I'm going to go on the back and scan this too
2:41
Alright and it's scanned and it says press the sync button for two seconds until you hear a beep
2:45
And that would be right over here. Alright it beeped. So now click next
2:53
Ready to add device. And if you could hear in the background, the home base is currently chiming and it said ready to add device
3:03
And here we can see there's also a glow. Alright, perfect. It's done loading. So now I can click next
3:07
And it says the battery doorbell comes with 80% or less battery for safe transportation
3:12
Fully charge it before using. Remember to close USB port cover once complete charging
3:16
And here it's talking about right over here and this is where we would go ahead and charge it. This cap lifts right up and there is the micro USB port
3:24
So got it? Got it. Now I don't have an existing doorbell wiring and it shows a quick video
3:33
And it goes over the whole setup process. Then finish. Alright, choose the frequency of motion detection
3:40
Frequent motion detection. Device will attempt to record each event for as much as possible
3:44
Shortest battery life. Balanced motion detection. Device will take a short break after each motion triggered
3:48
so as to reduce repeated detection on same object medium battery life. Disable motion detection
3:53
doorbell only no motion detection press button recording still talks So I just keep it over here at balanced motion detection Click next So I got the video doorbell set up and here what the live footage looks like
4:06
And there you can see me in the corner. And hear me as well too
4:11
And let me see if I can mute this. So right here, yeah, I press sound and then the sound is muted
4:19
And let's see what else we can see. At the bottom we can see the speed and then there's also option for reply
4:26
call, screenshot, or record. And let me see what happens if I call. Yeah, so this is basically, so this basically enables the two-way talk from my end, from my
4:39
phone over here, to the UFE video doorbell. And of course, I'm not going to turn it on again
4:44
because they're very close together. But let me move this camera a little bit more
4:47
so you can see how it looks like. And here's what it looks like up close to me. And of course
4:52
you are getting that wide angle just so you can get a big field of view and now let me go ahead
4:57
and just put this outside so we get a better look at it in the sun. There and now let me just retry
5:07
this to establish an internet connection and all right perfect now it's seeing me and I'm going to
5:13
go ahead and start recording on my phone just so you can see what the footage looks like
5:17
I'll allow and then I'll play it back shortly. So I'm currently recording on my phone and here's what the footage looks like and as far
5:27
as angles you can probably see me all the way to the end and now I'm probably like four
5:33
feet away from the camera and you can still see a little bit of my legs and if I go all
5:39
the way towards the wall you can't see me here anymore and so here's what it looks like
5:44
up close and then here's what it looks like just going further away now this is
5:48
probably like five feet we're probably like eight feet or ten feet away this is
5:53
like maybe 15 20 feet almost it does look like a really nice bright image so far I currently looking at it at my phone And here you can see a little bit more
6:08
But yeah, that's a quick audio and video test of the video doorbell. Now let me stop recording
6:14
All right, so here's what the footage currently looks like. And I will say there is a delay on it
6:18
So here you can see I put my hand right in front of the camera. And it takes like a second or two to go ahead and load
6:23
So the video doorbell pro also does work at night. So I'm able to see footage outside and also do get instant notifications on my watch and my phone like right over here
6:32
You can see when I came outside I was able to see this message and also every time there's some motion detected
6:37
I get notifications on my phone and events are also saved onto the app directly
6:41
And then here you could see all the events that occurred throughout today And there's gonna be a lot of events all the way from the beginning when I first turned on the camera
6:50
To all the way to right now at nighttime and even you heard the other notification up here
6:54
And now I can also go ahead and click into it and you can see a little bit more. And here's right when I came outside to go ahead and set up this camera
7:03
Now, a cool thing about the app is during these events, you also are able to get a little snippet of what's detected
7:08
So each time you could see human and there's also going to be an image of the human, the main person in the shot
7:14
And here you could see at the bottom when we were installing this, that would be my dad. In the beginning when it was just me outside, it would be me
7:22
And then here's my brother randomly showing up. So overall, this is pretty straightforward
7:26
So overall, I'm pretty happy with the video doorbell pro. This is going to be my first time getting something from Yuffie
7:31
but I'm pretty impressed with this looks pretty nice. It works quick on my phone and also I'm able to get instant notifications
7:36
I mean, here you could see I got another one over here as I'm just recording this
7:41
And yeah, if you're looking for a video doorbell, definitely check this one out by Yuffie
7:54
I want the sleigh turn on
