So today I'm taking a look at this AM8 streaming microphone by Fafine

They went ahead and sent this to me so I just want to do a quick unboxing and test it out to see how well this works

So this opens up real easy, just lifting this up. And right here the first thing I see is going to be this instruction booklet

And right underneath that we're going to have the stand. And then under this styrofoam we're going to have the USB-C to USB-A cable

And finally the microphone itself. So the stand can be screwed right in and there is going to be a rubber base at the bottom

So when it's put on a table like this, it doesn't go ahead and move as easily

So right off the bat, the microphone is a little bit loose, but this can be tightened by turning both of these knobs

And there, and now it's a lot tighter. So there's going to be two knobs in the center

The one at the top is going to be for microphone gain. And the one at the bottom is going to be for the volume here, if you have the headphones plugging in

And now there's also going to be this capacitive touch button that goes ahead and lights up the RGB right over here

And on the back side, there's going to be a mute button. Now all the way at the bottom here we're going to have other things. This is to plug it in via USB

or the XLR cable and right here to go ahead and plug in headphones. Now it is going to come

pre-installed with this foam over here this pop filter but it does go ahead and come off and

here's what it goes ahead and looks like. This plugs in easily and there it is. It immediately

goes ahead and lights up and it seems like it's a rainbow effect that keeps changing and if I go

ahead and press this button it goes ahead and changes color so now it's just a solid color

And yeah, here's all the different colors it comes with. And there, now we have a cool one, and this is going to be more of a rainbow, and it seems to be

circling all around. And if I go ahead and hold this for three seconds, it go ahead and shut off And the same thing again hold it for three seconds and it turns on Now on the back side we going to have the mute switch and all i have to do is just press it and it should turn red there and the tap a little bit more and yeah it pretty responsive

and now let me go ahead and test out the audio all right so now it's time to test out the audio

quality of this microphone and i do want to go ahead and hear myself so i have some headphones

and I'll just go ahead and connect this to the bottom of the mic hello hello hello all right I can't really hear myself so let me increase the volume

uh okay so I increased the volume all the way and now now I can hear myself in my headphones

and I think yeah somewhere around yeah somewhere around like 75 percent like right around here I

I also went ahead and adjusted the gain to 50%. And so now with my back fully straight up

as straight as possible. So this is what it sounds like about one phone length away

And then here it is as I get closer and closer and closer and closer and now incredibly close

So this probably isn't going to sound very good. So let me just back up a little bit

and hopefully the audio sounds pretty good on your end as well too. And now let me adjust the gain even more

so i turned a knob and this is roughly 75 percent of the gain and so that means it's going to be a

little bit louder on your end and now i turned it up all the way and this is what the gain looks

like this is what the gain sounds like all the way at 100 and so now let me adjust the gain so

this is 100 roughly 75 50 25 and then so overall i'm pretty happy with this microphone it's really

easy to set up there's no complicated software to use the controls are easy but yeah that's a
