I just got this folding bed by econo home
0:01
So I want to do a quick unboxing and give my first impressions of this and so inside the box
0:05
We're gonna have the instruction manual hardware a warning image two metal posts four wheels and finally the bed itself
0:11
And so everything is gonna be zip tied together So next thing to do is to go ahead and just cut all these zip ties to separate these parts from the mattress
0:21
And then the same thing on the other side And then I'll unlatch this over here
0:30
And everything goes ahead and comes apart. So now here's all the parts
0:35
And the first thing I do is to go ahead and open up the mattress and let it expand a bit
0:39
But I don't have a lot of space over here. So I'm just going to start with the next step, which is going to be actually building the frame
0:44
So the first thing I do is to attach the wheels. And they're going to go on this on the top portion over here
0:50
So we can grab this piece and put it in from underneath. And then go ahead and thread the wheel in here
0:55
All right, so I tighten it as much as I can with my fingers. so now it's time to use the wrench and the allen key
1:03
There, and do that on all the other three sides. Now it's time to attach these two with this
1:08
and make sure that this piece is facing inwards on both sides and we gonna be using the long screws labeled one
1:23
And now this can be flipped over and now this piece can go right on top and we're
1:29
gonna be screwing in the small screws right under here. And I just flipped everything upside down because it's actually gonna be easier that way. And now
1:37
this can be flipped over now it's time to install this end piece and make sure this is oriented the
1:46
right way so this is gonna open like this and now this can be lifted right up and make sure it
1:53
doesn't tip over so i have my foot over here just to make sure and this can be inserted down here
1:59
Alright that's as far down as it goes and now we can go ahead and screw in these two
2:10
small screws on the inside here. Now the leg can be lifted up and soak in this piece and it'll be hooked on to right over
2:17
here and I can do the same thing for the other side. Alright so here how the frame end up looking like and one thing to note is make sure everything is put nice and tightly like over here when pushing this down make sure that there absolutely no gap over here And if it too tight just go ahead and push it
2:34
Even use a hammer if you have to, just to make sure that there's no gaps. Now it's time for the mattress
2:47
So this is actually going to go the other way. and within one hour this should be 90% fluffed up so I'm just going to wait a day or two and see
2:57
how cushiony this gets. So it's been two days and here's what the mattress looks like. Now before
3:02
laying on this I do want to go ahead and just put this bed sheet over it. So so far just sitting on
3:09
this this feels pretty squishy. Now this is going to be made out of memory foam. It's going to be
3:13
five inches so it's not going to be as thick as you know regular mattresses but it should still be
3:18
fairly comfortable. And right now the bed went ahead and moved and that's because I
3:22
didn't go ahead and put the brakes on the wheels but that's fine. And here's what
3:29
it looks like so let me go up a little bit more. Now I believe this bed is 75
3:34
inches so if you taller than 75 inches you won really fit I 72 inches my head a little bit more so my feet can kind of touch the bottom over here If you able to see let me move myself a little bit more But if I scoot myself up a little
3:49
bit there, it's a lot more comfortable. And either way, when I sleep, I don't sleep straight like
3:54
this. I would usually sleep, you know, kind of like fetal position over here. Or if you're a
3:58
back sleeper, here's what it would look like. Now, I can't get very comfortable because of my hair
4:04
but kind of like this. All right so now it's time to fold this up and I am going to leave
4:10
the sheet over here and I can just lift one of the parts up and then grab the other side
4:19
and of course I do have to put some strength into over here and then there is going to be a latch on
4:27
top hopefully you can see this and then that attaches right over here to the handle. So I
4:31
attach this hook to the handle over here and now it's time to bring these parts down so unlatching
4:37
this is easy just push up a little bit push this up move it to the side bring it down then same
4:42
thing on the other side here and now time for the other side all right and there it is and now this
4:50
can be rolled away so it can be stored for next time but yeah that's a quick look at the folding
4:56
mattress with bed frame
