Crab Island Food Delivery and Destin Restaurants Accessible By Boat

Welcome back first timers. We're jumping back in the Boston Whaler but this time we're trying to

beat that storm across the bay to get over to Crab Island to check out some other vendors we

haven't been to before. We're going to try and check out the Shave Ice Boat, Cowboy Caviar

and the Elusive, the brand new Chick-fil-A boat. That's right, Chick-fil-A on the water

right to your boat. And if that's not enough fun, we're going to check out three restaurants

and Destin that you can boat right up to. We made it out to Crab Island

We're getting settled, but before we start flagging down vendors, I'm going to have your Crab Island weather report

Today, it's 88 degrees. The water temperature is 87 degrees. We've got a little bit of a wind, a mild shock

The current is headed out toward the Gulf, and we're expecting a possible tropical storm in the next couple of days

So we're still looking for the elusive Chick-fil-A boat, but the first vendor has sweet tea and lemonade

They have all kinds of different add-ins, flavors, but there's nothing more southern than sweet tea

Perfect, thanks so much. So we do have a storm coming in

We're going to try and hit as many vendors as we can before we get rained out. We got one bucket of sweet tea right here

I'm going to give it a little taster. That's really good. It's not too sweet

wow that's my line but this is a good combination of tea and sweet i might be the minority here

you say that i might be out in the library oh yeah this might be an unpopular opinion

but i don't like sweet tea it's always too sweet you lose the tea flavor and it's just

it's just not for me but i think this is going to rehydrate me and terry says it's not that sweet so

Let's give it a whirl. That is definitely on the manageable side of sweet when it comes to sweet tea

This could become very addicting. This is not that punch you in the face, hurt your teeth sweetness

This is this is a respectable and responsible amount of sweetness and the flavor of the tea still shines through Would recommend And you get a bucket with a lid on it So this is the one that has guacamole salsa and cowboy caviar

They also make their own chips. We've had it once before, and they were delicious, but we're doing it again because you guys haven't seen it

We have two types of guac, a regular jalapeno, cowboy caviar, salsa, and then we have two types of homemade tortilla chips

a chili lime, which is more of a taillin, paprika, zesty seasoning, and a sea salt and pepper

which is definitely more traditional, lightly seasoned. We go to farmer's markets everywhere from Niceville, Pensacola, Rosemary Beach, Instagram, we ship. It's my favorite time of day

chip time! I love chips. Chip time! So we're going to try these chips from Alligator Pear

Truth be told, we've had them before, so I know they're going to be good, but I haven't had this flavor over here. But let's try them with the cowboy caviar, the guacamole, and the salsa

starting off this taste test with the cowboy caviar. It's got two kinds of beans, corn

green onion, white onion. Let's try it out. Oh man, that's some of the best dip I've ever had. And those chips are amazing too. They're

homemade, seasoned with salt and pepper. David's got to try this. I know Terry's really excited

about this. They're not all of my favorite things. I'm not entirely enthusiastic about this bite

but I'm going to give it a whirl. If you like those things, this is probably for you

Terry loves those things. I'm going to jump into the guac. Guac is more my speed

And that's some slamming guac. I really like guac, and I think that has a nice tang

It's a little lime forward, which I do like, especially on a hot day. It's refreshing

It's creamy, big chunks of avocado on it. That's a winning guac

I'm the opposite. I don't really care for guac, but I'm going to try it. And I'm going to try it on the chili lime chip

That's really good guac. And I don't like guac that much. He's right. It has a lot of lime in it

And that chip, so much flavor. It's just a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet

Last up is the salsa. It's chopped up really fine. That's so good

It's got a little bit of heat, a little bit of smoke. tomatoey, oniony, cilantro. Definitely get the salsa. Going with a chili lime chip with the salsa

It's a very fine puree styled salsa. Flavor's great. It adds a little spice, but it's nice

It kind of wakes you up. It makes you feel alive again. The vendors are coming hot and heavy now

Right now we have shave ice and nachos. I think we're going with the shave ice. I'll tell you

of all the boats, this is probably one of the easiest ones to find. They got four flags. It's a Sea-Doo pontoon boat

It's a really cool looking boat and super easy to spot. They got multiple sizes ranging from starfish to dolphin to killer whale

The prices adjust accordingly. They have a bunch of flavors. We're going with tiger blood and topping that bad boy with condensed milk

No, spoon! That's okay. No, it's on the ground. Grab it. We went with the starfish size because it's just the two of us, but man, this thing is huge

I like the size of my head but I better get to eating because it melting Definitely get the cream on top That how I like it

The condensed milk really solidifies it. It's literally the icing on the top

For $10, you get a huge helping. It'll cool you off. It's bound to make everybody on the boat happy and sticky

I got horrific, horrible, terrible news. It turns out that Chick-fil-A is not out here today

It sounds like there might be a staffing issue. We don't know the facts

What we know is they're not here today. So if you came here to see Chick-fil-A delivered by boat, you're not getting that

But you're going to see other food being delivered. So since there's no Chick-fil-A out here today, we did get a boat to come over that has hamburgers and pizza

We're going to let her tell you all about the kind of pizza that they have after she brushes her hair

Hey guys, my name is Sophia. I'm a vendor at Crab Island and I work with Shore Dash

We deliver for Reef Burger and Merlin's. We've recently partnered with Merlin's

It's a local onshore pizza place that delivers right to our marina

And then we pick it up and bring it straight to you and find your boat. Social media wise, our name is Shore Dash

We're on Facebook. And that's about it for now. It's $26 for one whole pizza

And you might think that's kind of pricey. But let me tell you, I paid more than $26 on dry land for pizza

So we're going to wait for her to deliver it to our boat. And we'll tell you what we think. Our pizza woman is arriving

Terry's excited. So excited. I love pizza just as much as I love Chip. How's it going

Good. Welcome back. I'm back with some pizza. That was fast. Yeah

And it's nice and hot, so it should be super fresh. Are you looking for pepperoni or cheese

I kind of want to find out what the else might be

But in the meantime, it's pizza time. It only took about 30 minutes for the pizza to get here, and it is piping hot

So I'm going to give it a try. Thick crust, nice and buttery and crunchy on the bottom, soft in the middle

Nice cheese build. And that pepperoni is spot off. The sauce is sweet

I really like this. No flop. It is a thicker crust. Not super crispy

One bite, everybody knows the rules. It's tangy cheese but creamy. The crust is thick, buttery, fluffy. Sauce is really sweet

which some people like more of a tang sauce. I like a sweeter sauce and it's really nice

offset with a spicy pepperoni. For 26 bucks delivered to you on the water at Crab Island

This is going to be an unsung hero for a bunch of people on these boats. would recommend. Check out Shore Dash and get that Merlin's Pizza

We finished eating our pizza and now we're going to head out of Crab Island and head over to the Destin Harbor

We're going to check out a couple restaurants over there, see if there's any room to dock

There are three restaurants that you can dock at. The Edge Seafood, Harbor Docks, and Beauchamp

So we going to see who has space for us As we mentioned in a previous video Reef Burger has a floating deck that you can get on It got picnic tables it covered and you can enjoy your meal And today they got it out

If you're heading out of Crab Island into Destin, Harbor Docks is going to be one of the last

restaurants on your left. They have ample boat parking and they have really great food. I tried

sushi there for the first time. They have a bunch of boat parking. Just make sure you check to make

sure you're not parking in someone's slip. The restaurant in the middle is going to be Beauchamp

They have awesome food as well and plenty of boat parking. Again, just make sure you're not

parking in someone's private slip. They also have a giant beach where you can play cornhole

sit down on the beach. They even have fishing poles that you can use. I don't know if you can

make out Beauchamp's behind me behind these giant boats, but it's back there. The spots are a little

bit tighter than at Harbor Docks, but you can also beach your boat here, which is really convenient

And our last stop is going to be Edge Seafood. It's the closest to Crab Island. They've got ample

parking over here, just no overnight parking. Docked it like a champ. Would have filmed it

but I needed Terry to help me out a little bit. So we're at Edge Seafood, but there's also the

Sky Bar upstairs. You've seen it in a bunch of other videos. We love that place for sunsets

cocktails, small bites. It's an amazing place. So we're going to go back up there

check out the view, and grab a cocktail before we try and get back across the bay. Well

we made one minor miscalculation. Sky Bar doesn't open until four and we're here a little bit early

So we're going to just stroll down the old harbor and check out the boathouse. They have great

drinks, warm pretty heavy, and it's kind of a local spot. If it's too hot to sit outside

you can always go inside. The bar is really high, but that's okay. If I look awkward

it's because I am. They have a whole bunch of different alcohol selections, but I wanted a

fun drink. Terry's going with her standard vodka soda. I'm getting something called the Boathouse

Breeze. Don't know what it is. Sounds exciting. Sounds inviting and sounds refreshing. Cheers

All the fruit flavors, all the coldness, all the wetness, pretty much what you need after a day on

the boat. We're here on the first Friday of the month, which is Free Beer Friday, Locals on the

Harbor. It's more of a local event, but I'm sure they won't mind if you stop by too. The thing is

they get free beer, but they ask for donations for Road Dog Rescue, and they have them out here

with puppies that you can adopt or cuddle while you drink your beer. They have live music. They do

a bunch of brunch events on Sundays. They have one coming up. It's a Friends-themed brunch. They did

one that's a Golden Girls-themed brunch. It's always a lot of fun. Had another great day out
