So this is the farm community kitchen and they provide low cost freshly made foods where the

profits go to sustain the kitchen. Now they have an amazing initiative the community larder where

can pay however much you feel for the products they have so we're going to go in there look for

the products see what we can find and pay however much we feel it's worth or we can pay a little bit

more to support them so they can keep offering this amazing initiative to the community

Now here is a community larder. A larder is a large cupboard full of donated or surplus foods

where people can come and make use of it and pay however much they feel or however much they can

So if you can pay more, you pay more. If you can pay less, you pay less. It's all here for you

Right, now they also have a pay it forward initiative where you can pay for a meal or an item and then you get a ticket instead of the item

You stick it in the box and then anyone who needs it can come, cash it in and use that to get a meal

So how amazing! I started the Farm Community Kitchen alongside the Mutual Aid Group in Waltham Forest and with the help of CanHall Mutual Aid Group

We reacted to COVID and wanted to help the communities in any way we could whether that was delivering groceries or walking people dogs And then we started a food system so we help people in the community

whatever shape or form they're in need. We deliver food to their door that they

can then heat up and look after themselves by prioritising their finances away from food and to ensure that their rent is paid and that they

are in a secure environment. The farm itself is completely run by volunteers, we cook meals

we cook cakes, we experience social interaction, something that Covid took away from us

and we're here to build the community back up together again and we're hoping to be around for a long long time

So we're at London School of Barbering and this is Oli, a student barber and what they

do is they offer discounted haircuts or free haircuts to the public and then they get the

students to cut your hair as a form of learning and experience

So click the link to get yours. Kingsmere Community Shop a social supermarket run by the community made up kitchen in Rise365 Let head in We Made Up Kitchen from the Made Up Collective and we create projects that bring equity and bring communities to empower each other

And we're Rise 365, we're a youth and community organisation supporting and empowering people to do their greatest stuff

And together we created the Kingsmead Community Shop. Yep, which has been doing amazing things for over 15 months now

The community is supporting the young people, it's supporting our intergenerational projects

So it's open to everybody. Anybody can come. It's £8 for your shopping. You get about eight bags of shopping

A huge amount of that is fresh fruit and veg, which is bought from our crowd funder

So the whole community is nourishing you. Some of that is from your £8 and some of that is from the Felix Project and surplus

And we believe in abundance, that together we can create abundance. And there you have it, a community supporting the community

looking menu, I must say. All vegan, so with with. So they've got the California vegan burger

They've got Costa Rica jalapeno. We're gonna have a few of them and enjoy the experience

Delicious looking yummies and i love canteen which is what attracted me to this meal

to tell us a little bit about it yeah so basically uh we're trying to establish a blue zone uh cafe

here in central London Blue Zone basically stands for regions around where people live the longest

everyone's coming out of this COVID thing and here in the UK

we haven't had a great time at all so we thought how can we make a difference so

our dream is to have London to be like the sixth region in the world

where people live the longest and we want to create a community right here

where we are in Central with the neighbours with those that come and be a part of us

to just create a new opportunity of health, wellness and live into your potential
