Exploring Venice Italy, how cheap is everything?

Hi guys welcome back to the channel. We are out here in Venice for one day. We're gonna walk around, explore the city

The three things I'd like to try Italian pizza, Italian pasta and cannolis. How much is it

It's got crunchy pistachios on one side And I'm guessing it's got creamy pistachios on the other side

The pistachio filling inside is delicious It's soft and like creamy a little bit

And then the actual cannoli is like hard and crusty And it's also sweet

It looks like a fairly economical restaurant I've had a look on a menu and the prices are looking good

Margherita pizza is going for 6 euros. This is OG Margherita pizza from the shores of Venice

So I just walked into a chocolate shop. They've also got some free samples that I'd like to try

I'd like to try the lemon and the alcohol. Thank you. Thanks

Which one's your favorite? The favorite is this. Oh, I'm going to have to try that as well

We'll start with the favorite. So the favorite is more or less an almond dipped in chocolate and then dusted in chocolate flour

This is the lemon one. Thank you. Lemon is sweet. It's zesty

It gives you that fresh lemony flavor. In the mix is the chocolate coming cool

This is apparently the alcohol. The minute you bite into it, it breaks almost like a shell

And then there's this liquid inside that just oozes in your mouth. So I found a restaurant and I'm about to try the OG Italian pasta

This is where all the pastas from the world have been inspired by it So this has high expectations on it already I went for spaghetti with tomato and basil and it 10 euro

Our spaghetti has arrived. It looks oily, stringy and skinny. But let's not judge a bookwise comment

Let's try it first and then we can give you like a real sense of what Italian pasta

actually tastes like from the shores of venice it's a decent pasta taste wise it's got the right

amount of seasoning it's nice and the only pasta i've ever had that's better than this

was from montenegro so i've just found a shop with some bottles of drinks outside

have you got um three samples of the drinks outside yes thank you okay

yeah, limoncello how many percent of alcohol? 30% 30% no wonder I want to find a mask before I leave here

this is the creme de la creme wow wow wow this is amazing

for myself I'm not sure yet I think I quite like this one

This looks really good. How much is it? Pretty much. So I've just found something interesting

It looks somewhat like a vending machine, but with condoms. Just on the high street, I guess

It's got some condoms in it. It's got some lubes. It's got some tampax

It's a bit random to just have condoms laying on the high street

But I guess prevention is better than cure. Now to find out how cheap accommodation is in Venice, we'll be comparing three different places

One low end, one mid range and one high end. Now the low end accommodation is anything from 0 to 50

pound. Mid range being anything from 50 pounds to 100 and high end anything from 100 upwards

So first up our low end Forresteria Social San Marco I don know if I pronouncing it right But this was the cheapest accommodation I could find costing 59 euros plus vats and breakfast

which I later found out was just a coffee and a croissant. I had a single bunk bed in a mixed

dorm of about 50 other beds. And I exaggerate not, it was very crowded. The beds were standard size

They did the job. They also had a kitchen that you could use and a church to repent of your sins

Now, the only sins you can commit in that bunk bed are that of the flesh, your own flesh

Next up, our mid-range accommodation. For this, I had a look on Airbnb and found an apartment for £98

Pricey, of course, but perfect for committing sins, eh? So if you're traveling with a partner or friends, this gives you the luxury of your own space

now the apartment is open plan it has a decent sized kitchen and dining area large sofa bed and

all your standard amenities like tv washing machine kettle etc it had a pretty funky style

going on as well for the price i feel like i'm being cheated just a little bit 98 pound is

probably on the higher end higher than i would like to pay for that apartment and finally our

high-end stay. Venice Maggiore Constelligo. Again, I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right

This hotel costs about 139 euros for a superior double bed with breakfast included. For those

who like to splurge, of course. Now, the room itself is a bit smaller than you'd expect for

the price. It has a cool modern design and a gorgeous, gorgeous bathroom. Of course

also including your standard amenities like TV fridge safe so if you're

traveling to Venice in the middle of summer have your wallets at the ready

because you're gonna be coughing up a fair amount I'm trying to go on a gondola

before I leave Venice hello what's the max amount of people that can be on a

gondola five people okay so I found St Marcus Square where there a lot of people waiting to get on gondolas So hopefully I can convince a few of them to join their right

I've asked the man, his little son. He hasn't asked for any money. Although I've just seen someone else pay

I'm going to act like I didn't see that, and I'm just going to cross over for free

We're on the other side. There's a line of people waiting. Alright, so I've just walked out and I've seen the sign saying the ferry is either 70

cents or 2 euros. I'm surprised he didn't ask me to pay anything

I guess they're just really nice. Alright guys, we have the crew together

We're off to watch the fireworks. We've seen the fireworks and right now we are exploring the city looking for somewhere to party the night away

Nothing tastes better than food when you've been drinking. We just found a pizza shop that also sells ice cream

Luckily they've got one more slice of margarita pizza and I'm having that one

It's 3.30am. We had some drinks. We had some good conversations, we played some games

we chilled in the square. And then now we're trying to find our way back

through this maze called Venice
