STUCK IN PARIS FOR 3 DAYS WITH €100 - DAY 1

The situation's getting tense at Charles de Goulet Airport

It's currently 6.56am, Tuesday, 12th of July. What I think has happened is the flight everyone was supposed to board was full

and then there was an overflow of people. The mood is very tense. Everyone's got their fingers crossed

They're waiting for their names to be called, at least as a final hope of them getting to Milan today

So I've just had a chat with EasyJet. So I'm just at the airport, and I've been told my flight is full

and can't take all the people that have been booked on. And now they're trying to allocate some seats for the remaining people

And I haven't been given one. So I was trying to either call you guys to either get a refund

or to get put on another flight. Yes, the system is currently down at the moment

I've been told to call back in 10 minutes to speak to them and try and figure it out

If I can get a refund or I can get put on another flight, I'm happy

Otherwise, I'm causing havoc. Alright, so I've been given a replacement flight for three days' time

So now I'm stuck in Paris for three days. The only problem now is I only have a hundred pound left in my wallet

100 euros! I thought it was a hundred pounds. That's even less

If you've been to Paris, you know this is Mission Impossible because a hostel, right

The cheapest hostel you can get, 45 euros. A hotel, 90 euros

I'm here for three days and I have 100 euros left. This is a survival challenge

I don't know how the heck I'm gonna do that. Let's find out

I feeling a bit thirsty I at the airport I can grab a drink at one of these vending machines but I feel like I don want to start cutting into my budget already I still don know where to sleep the next three days

so I should probably save that for something more important than drinking water. Unless I'm like misunderstanding my priorities, I need to stay alive first

Flipping heck, £2.80 for a bottle of water. I'm going to enjoy this challenge properly

to Paris? Single, 10 or 2. What? Yeah. Is there like a cheaper one or discount? No. Cheap

Right, so the tickets to Paris alone cost 10 euros. I don't know if that's a good idea

I've had a look and there are definitely barriers so you can't just bump it. And then I stood

there and watched for a bit to see if anyone else was bumping it. No one's bumping it. Everyone's

using tickets. I need to figure this out. Alright, just in a ticket office waiting to get a Navigone

pass apparently they pass before to put on the pass to be able to use it and that

cost about eight euros apparently the whole thing is coming up to probably 35

which is way too pricey for me so we're gonna have to like freestyle a bit

alright so I'll just go one of these the pass for the week is 2280 and then they

charge extra five euros for the card so it comes up to 2780 and now we minus that

from a hundred euros and we have 72.20 left. Now don't get me wrong, 27.80 is a lot to spend on a

ticket. I reckon just having this and being able to get around the next few days will make things a lot

money's going quick i wonder how the next few days are gonna go hey let's see so i looked around for

hotels and the prices were ridiculous as per Paris. So I looked around for hostels and the

prices were still higher than my budget. If I were to get two nights and that's the whole budget

no. But I need to stay somewhere. So I had a look and found the cheapest one which was

St. Christopher's Inn. I got a bed for 38 euros 90 pence. I figured let's sort it out day by day

as we go and the rest of the days will sort themselves out

That brings my total to 33 euros 30 for the next three days

It's from 8 till 10. Now it's a decent-looking hostel. We've got a good staging area

We've got some comfy chairs. And the bed was all right. it does the job a place to rest your head all right i'm starving i need to get some food some

proper food but i also need to be smart with this money so i'm thinking set it up evenly over the

three days so it works out to about 11 euros a day on food it can be maybe three euros for breakfast

four euros for lunch another three euros for dinner so that way i feel like i'm having a good

balanced diet I'm eating all three meals and I've got my travel card so I can

explore the whole city my belly is full I'm exploring the city hey I'm on holiday

oh hi can I get vegan pizza vegan can I get um solo thank you so much it looks

very robust okay so whilst i was having lunch slash dinner i missed the mojito class i'm gonna have to catch

them tomorrow although i'm not gonna be in this hostel i'm gonna have to catch them tomorrow
