Surviving on €1 in Germany - Day 1

All right, today I'm in Berlin Germany and I'm gonna be surviving on one euros

Breakfast, lunch and dinner for one euro. Don't know how I'm gonna do this. Let's explore

All right, so I'm currently at the central station I'm gonna walk around see if I can find any cafes that possibly have something for one euros

One thing Germany is good for is a lot of vegan options. Oh, how much how much is a slice

Four euros This one's three euros. Flipping heck. Is there anywhere that has one euro slice of pizzas

No, not in Berlin. No, no, right? Thank you. I'm slowly starting to find this challenge impossible

A slice of pizza, three euros, four euros. Croissants, two euros. Would you guys be able to tell me if I can get anything at all for one euros

Is there anything I can buy for one euro? Thank you. Thanks. No worries. Okay. I'm starting to get

the feeling if i want to get anything for this price i probably need to leave the shopping center

or like the outlet let's see if burger king has anything hello do you know if there's anything i

can get for one euro no not even like chips or no everything's over one euros oh wow okay thank

you so much thank you all right so i've just found a store netto i have no idea what marking means

but I know what discount means, yes please. Granted there are quite a few cheap pastries

the only thing is what to eat it with. First I thought peanut butter or Nutella or jam. So with

my one euro I can get bread for 45 cents but then I don't want to chow bread just by itself. You

want to dip it in something or like spread something on it or even drink it with tea

All right, I figured it out. So I found cafe, which is a coffee drink for 79 cents

All right, bear with me. And a piece of bread for 17 cents

Voila, breakfast is served. Also, I like the thing they use to pick the breads

They use this whole contraption and stick it in, and then they're pulling it out. In the UK, everyone just sticks their grubby hands in it

17 pence it leaves me with 4 cents left Thank you guys have a good one I found some tables outside where people can just stand and have their meal So breakfast is served

I feel like I should probably wash my hands before I touch this and maybe lotion them as well

This smells absolutely fantastic. Oh, that's delicious that. hmm okay German architecture at its finest so now I've got four cents left for lunch and dinner but

I managed to find something on couchsurfing and I think it's a Diwali festival celebration something

The lady that's just offered me a fork, I'm sitting outside her restaurant and having dinner from outside

Outside food, how dare you? So there's a foil. And then you open this and then there's rice under it

The one on top is sweet. The one at the bottom is savory, which is rice

It's delicious, but it's an acquired taste. All right, let's try this rice. Oh my god, what the heck

No, the rice is really good. Super, super tasty. This is how people stumble upon amazing recipes

You never know. Oh my god, we have a surprise in there. It looks like either a walnut or something

Perseverance. We got like a little almond. Is it an almond? went in berlin eh that was dea licious i feel like that kind of counts as dinner since it's

nighttime but i can stretch i can push and try and find dinner still all right i found something else

again on couch surfing it goes open kitchen for all halloween special happy days this week why not

have a halloween theme so feel free to have autumn food pumpkin spice punch and scary presentation

but really not stress all is welcome the idea of this event is each one brings ingredients for one

dish for amount of roughly three or four people so everyone can have a taste of each dish can be

starter main or desserts it sounds like a splendor sounds magnificent just free food everywhere happy

days i'm heading there for dinner the only problem is i don't have any cooked food or any ingredients

We've just finished eating. We've cleared the table. We're gonna do the dishes. We're gonna clean up

And then, we'll say goodbye. goodbye. It's been a really cool event. I've done a bit of washing and now I'm gonna bid everyone
