Power BI - Printing dashboard and exporting data

In this segment of the video I'm going to show you how to print a dashboard and how to

export data in Power BI Service. Now guys once you have created the dashboard we have an option to print this

dashboard as a reference copy at the time of you are presenting a presentation in

front of your boss or in front of your client as well

So at that time we'll be needing a hard copy as well. So in order to get the hard copy, we need to print this dashboard

So how to print this dashboard and how to export this data in PowerBi service will be seeing

it in our practical approach. Hello friends and welcome. In this segment of the video, I'm going to show you how to print a dashboard in Power

BI service. All right. So I simply have to go to the dashboard which I want to print

So I will go on this sample dashboard and I will go out here in the X-Team right-hand side

of the corner and I click on more option the moment I click on more option I can see there is an option for printing the dashboard I will simply click on it The moment I click on it it is showing me the same feature that we have for printing any documents in the Windows profile

All right? So as you can see, I can see all the dashboards that we have created

And if I want to print it, I can simply click on print. But before printing it, I can see there is a bunch of options out here

So if I want to change the destination, let's say, would you like to change the printer destination

So I will simply click on this change button and select the printer which I want to print it to

Similarly I can have options whether you want to print certain pages or you want to print all the pages

There's a layout button in which drop-down menu I can either get a portrait to printout or a landscape printout which will look like this a landscape printout all right

So it totally depends what is your lookout whether you want a color whether you want black and white

So it will give you a preview that how it looks like in a color way and

way and in a black and white way Okay So we will go with the color dashboard as we have put in so much of efforts while creating this dashboard I would like to create an impact while sharing this out to my colleagues Okay also I will go under this more setting tabs and under this more setting tabs

I can see there are so many options whether which paper size has to be considered while printing it

whether it should have margins, non-minimum or custom, right? Also, the scale we can describe what should be the scale for it, whether it should be 100% or whether it should be 98

depending on the number of projections that we have. out here also I can add header and footers the moment I click on headers and

footers you can see let me show you right now there's no headers and footers but

the moment I click this I can see the date that is my today's date and the name

of the dashboard from power BI services and this is my link basically where I

have my power BI dashboard stored right it is also showing you the page

number that is on the extreme right corner right at the bottom also if I want to

some background graphic is completely up to you if you want to add any graphics

to it so this is how you can basically print a dashboard also I would like to share you that whenever I see a dashboard and if I want to select the related data to it so I will simply click on this drop menu and I have

an option which says export to Excel. So what happens when I export this file to Excel

It will give me the data set that is related while creating this dashboard. So let me show

it to you quickly how to export the dashboard into an Excel. So I'll simply click on

this export button. As you can see, a revenue file is being downloaded

If I click on this file, it will open an Excel and it will show you what is the relative data that has been used while generating this particular dashboard

All right. Now as you can see, the file is being opened up

So now here you can see what are the list of the manufacturers and what are the sale associated with it

So whenever you import any of the report into an Excel file, it will definitely show you the data related in creating that particular visual or creating that

particular dashboard all right guys so this was all for this video how to print a
