Changing the Power Steering Fluid on your BMW E36 is extremely important, as it can help prevent the breakdown of your power steering lines and/or your steering rack.

The way I did it is not the recommended method, however it can be quite effective if you don't have the time or a jack handy to open up the power steering line. 

I had neglected my power steering fluid for quite a while on my BMW and it had become a nasty clear, black color.
