Convertibles make awesome weekend "play cars". But do they make good daily drivers?
In this video I discuss things to consider before buying a convertible and things I have learned over the years using a convertible as a daily driver. 
The main points you should take away from this video is that 1) convertibles are significantly more expensive to maintain, 2) they require a lot more work from the driver to maintain (leather cleaner/convertible top cleaner), 3) most of them leak so you should have an enclosure, and 4) they get broken into more frequently.
On the plus side they make for an awesome driving experience in the Spring time.
