A lot of people question how reliable BMWs are. Well, I can't speak for every BMW, but the E36 has been extremely good to me over the past eight years I have owned them.
BMW E36s rarely have a serious drivetrain issue, their handling is excellent, and they are relatively easy to work on for most DIYers.
