A Modern Factory - Power Platform-based Real-time Production Floor Monitoring

Nowadays, factories around the world go through a comprehensive digital transformation to become increasingly data-driven companies for significantly improving the performance, the quality of their production and manufacturing processes. In this session, we will present a Power Platform-based solution in great detail to show how a well-known no-code/low-code solution package can support these companies in their digital transformation journey. We will create a real-time production monitoring Power BI report using Power Automate, DirectQuery, and Automatic Page Refresh features to show the current status and the latest trends on the production floor. During the session, we will also present a Power Apps solution to modify the planned volumes based on the actual production figures. Moreover, the app generated data will be also integrated into this Power BI report. About Speaker: Ph.D. in Computer Science, 20 years experience in software development, 10+ years experience in Microsoft BI stack, day-by-day usage of Power BI since its very first release, teaching lots of Power BI trainings in Hungarian and English, co-organizer of Hungarian Power BI Meetup.
