While creating a ledger account, you are always asked to place that ledger account under an inbuilt Tally Group. In Tally, there are a total of 4 types of Groups: Liabilities, Assets, Income, and Expenses. While creating a new Group, you have to place that group under one of the 34 inbuilt Tally Accounting Groups.
