2023 Summer P-EBT in Washington, DC (Payment Update)

Great news - District of Columbia was approved to issue Summer P-EBT benefits for 2023! This means that households with eligible school-age children will receive $120 in P-EBT benefits per eligible child. Children who receive free or reduced-price meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or attend a CEP school are eligible to receive P-EBT benefits for Summer 2023. Washington, DC will be issuing Summer P-EBT benefits as a one-time payment of $120. 2023 Summer P-EBT benefits in the District of Columbia will begin going out beginning Saturday, July 1st. Payments for newly eligible or missed children will go out on Tuesday, August 1st. Washington, DC is required to issue ALL Summer P-EBT payments for 2023 by September 30, 2023.
