#jazo #jayz #allhiphopTV #Brooklyn #chuckcreekmur Jaz-O is often referred to as "The Originator." The Brooklyn King is more than just the man that brought Jay-Z to the world. But, be clear, it was Jaz-O that profoundly influenced the young career of the now-billionaire mogul Shawn Carter. Much has changed since those early days in the Marcy Projects. Jaz-O was affiliated with Roc-A-Fella Records, the iconic record label co-founded by Jay-Z, Damon Dash, and Kareem "Biggs" Burke, but he never signed on the dotted line. He did appeared on Jay-Z's early albums, including "Reasonable Doubt" (1996) and others as a producer and emcee on songs like "Nigga What, Nigga Who (Originator 99)." Big Jaz also dropped several albums during his career, including "Word to the Jaz" (1989), "Ova Confident" (2002), and "The Warmup" (2019), which was distributed through Roc Nation. That partnership closed a long-running public falling out with Jay-Z, which led to a feud in the 2000s. However, they eventually reconciled. Now, Jaz continues to rap and grow. What he takes exception to is what he considers retelling history and leaving him out of it.
