By default, Tally ERP 9 stores data in \Users\Public\Tally.ERP9\Data folder. As you know that each company created in Tally also contains a number that helps to identify the company and you see sub-folders inside the Data folder having the same names as company numbers. So, you can either Copy the entire Data or a particular Sub-Folder corresponding to a particular company and then Paste that on a USB Drive or another drive on the same system. The second method is using the inbuilt Backup and Restore feature of Tally. You can easily take backups of one or more companies on a USB or HDD.
