How to delete the local SCCM cache on a Windows device. This simple to follow video guide will walk you through the process of deleting the SCCM cache on a users local Windows device. This is sometimes necessary if a users device starts to have trouble with low disk space, especially with the introduction more widely of SSD's which tend to have lower capacity sizes. If an end user has downloaded and installed a lot of applications from the SCCM Software Center, then this location (which is stored in C:\Windows\ccmcache by default) can become very large. Deleting this cache should not cause any problems to the day to day running of the end users Windows device, but if they would like to reinstall or carry out a repair, then the client may want to re-download the source files from a local distribution point. We also have a full written guide with step by step instructions and screenshots to make this process even simpler and you can check out that on our blog here: https://blog.techygeekshome.info/2012/12/delete-sccm-local-cache/ If you have any questions or problems with this process, please feel free to leave us a comment and we will get back to you as soon as we can and try and help you out!
